Task Seating
St. Lucia Chair

This design was intended for outdoor use in all regions of Canada. Frames were solid steel round bar with rectangular steel tubing stretchers. Steel t-bar was formed to support teak seat slats. Third image down shows units exposed 12 months of the year in Ontario for 30 years.
Fourth image down is seating made for use in the Canadian supported Castries Airport in St. Lucia. Specifications called for termite proof construction, knocked down units for shipping and site assembly, maintainability by local skills and joining of units without fastening to tile floors. Note the flexible ganging loops at the top of each leg. Mahogany wood slats and frames were enameled white.
